Congrats on the job and impending 718!

It really, really is. I’m starting my own department/practice and will be hopefully adding staff beneath me at some point soon.

Probably not impending, but someday I hope. It's the only car I'd replace the ST with

Congratulations, at least someone around these parts will be gainfully employed soon!

This is all well and good, but... What color will you choose??

That’s even better. Not easy or an insignificant responsibility, but certaintly a fantastic opportunity. Did y ou say it is an independent practice that is outsourced to or a department under a firm?

That’s fantastic news, congrats.

Fabulous! That didn’t take too long.
Kudos to you for not starting a bidding war over you.

Why the 718? I found the 4 cylinder to be highly disappointing . Great car overall but a downer compared to the prev 6 cyl. And now the 6 cylinders are extra pricey.

Just handling, I am not too into speed. But I probably would look at a used 6cyl

Ah, great choice for handling. I just felt the Turbo 4 didn’t fit the character of the car at all, wasn’t a big fan of the pdk either.

Congratulations! I’m terrified of being unemployed, but most of the time I use that positively to be great at my current job. Though I know that won’t always be enough, and some day I’ll be in the situation where regardless of how I performed my job will be at risk. I stayed awake last night for hours in bed worrying about it.

I got laid off sadly due to my company’s overall financial status, despite my own portfolio of claims doing OK

That's awesome. Is this the same company you were with before or a new one? Are you still in the insurance biz?
![]() 03/10/2020 at 22:04 |

New company. Still in insurance! It’s a life sentence

Yeah, the North America oil industry is not as stable as it looked even a few weeks ago. It appears that Russia is going for the figurative jugular by opening the production taps.

Congrats! I didn’t think you would be out of work for very long. Possible company car?

Sadly not, but enough of a raise to compensate for the loss of the $600 car allowance from my last position.
